BIOGRAPHY
Jeff Stone has more than 20 years of management and consulting experience
focused on helping clients achieve personal, team and organizational
effectiveness. Jeff's clients span a broad range of industries and in
recent years he has worked extensively in Life Sciences. He has a real
passion for helping leaders and teams navigate through periods of growth and
change, and in particular, the tricky cultural transition from an
entrepreneurial to more professionally managed organization. Jeff is
skilled in the areas of executive coaching, top team effectiveness, developing
broad based employee engagement and results-focused strategy implementation
processes.
EXPERIENCE
For 7 years, prior to co-founding Potentia, Jeff was a consultant and Director of the Charter Oak Consulting Group, an organization consulting firm based in Hartford CT. Prior to this he spent 5 years as Program Manager for Outward Bound's Professional Development Program at Thompson Island in Boston, MA. Jeff spent the first 10 years of his professional career in internal Human Resource Management and Organization Development roles for two Fortune 50 corporations. At GTE he supported four operating companies in both telephone operations and products. At Johnson & Johnson, he worked in the Worldwide Headquarters and at the Orthopeadics Company.

SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS
Jeff has coached senior managers and worked with groups spanning all levels and functions at a wide range of organizations including:
Accellent, ACMI, Acusphere, Alkermes, Applied Materials, BP Chemicals, Carrier Corporation, EPIX Pharmaceuticals,
Eisai Research Institute, Geltex Pharmaceuticals, Martinair - The Americas, Rhodia Pharma Solutions, Smith & Nephew and Vertex Pharmaceuticals.
+ For a Drug Discovery client, Jeff:
- Worked with the senior leadership team to improve it's capacity for open dialogue and effective conflict resolution;
- Facilitated a process which engaged the entire employee population (200 people) in defining a compelling Mission, 30 year Vision and Goal for the organization;
- Guided the development of the therapeutic area strategies, engaging a broader cross-section of researchers in the process than ever before.
+ For an Emerging Pharmaceutical client, Jeff:
- Provided on-going coaching to key senior managers, including the current President and CEO, through several challenging management transitions and an extended period of rapid growth and change;
- Conducted leadership development training for 80+ managers in the organization;
- Guided multiple rounds of a company-wide climate survey utilized to measure employee attitudes and identify organization development needs.
- Provided one-on-one coaching to the new CEO during a difficult time of transition into his new role;
- Conducted executive team building sessions for a multi-national management team as they work to integrate this newly acquired highly entrepreneurial business acquisition into a new parent corporate entity.
- Lead the design of a Leadership Competency Model;
- Conducted 360° feedback and coaching sessions for the top 65 executives in the company;
- Trained internal managers as 360° process coaches in support of a subsequent roll-out of the process to successive levels further down in the organization.
